It’s been such an honor to see this baby of mine

It’s been such an honor to see this baby of mine grow up! He’s loving Kindergarten and excelling so much!

Today he took his first field trip to the pumpkin patch. Can I just say Hallelujah that we are back to doing things like field trips?! 🙌🏼 I did this exact one with Harper when he was in Kindergarten and this time it was Rohen’s turn. You can swipe the picture to see how long we’ve been coming here as a family. 😍😭 #timeslowdown

We had the best day together picking pumpkins, seeing all the animals, and touring a farm that has been in Franklin since the 1800’s. I know it’s a Fall staple for so many families here.

September has been full of “pinch me” moments.

I’m taking over their IG stories tomorrow and I’d love for y’all to join me as I share “a day in the life” around our amazing, beautiful city of Franklin. 🤍 I started Southern Made Blog as a creative outlet and to have a way to keep our family up to date as we had babies. As it’s grown over the years, this whole space has given me much more than I ever expected. I found my voice through a keyboard. I learned to share the beautiful side of motherhood, but also speak life into the struggles. It became therapeutic to type out my thoughts and connect with so many of you who were going through the similar things. Motherhood, family, and my faith are big parts of my brand; but I’ve loved sprinkling in other passions of mine like fashion, beauty, traveling, baking, and most recently…the crazy, funny side of our family. I'm so thankful to have a community of women who have come alongside me in this journey. I’ve made some of my best friends through this app. My love for people and writing has manifested into a desire for cultivating this community. All I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a Mama. I would daydream about their faces, what color their eyes would be, and what kind of personalities they’d have.

I’m sure glad the Lord’s plans are better than those we envision for ourselves. These 3 precious boys are more than I had ever hoped for. Every year is so bittersweet as they get older, but I’m so thankful they’re healthy and growing. My greatest gift and blessing is being theirs! God is so good! #nationalsonday

Celebrated 15 years of marriage and 21 years of be

Celebrated 15 years of marriage and 21 years of being together with this sweet man of mine. ♥️

We’re at the point where we’ve been together longer than we were ever apart. I can’t imagine life without him. It’s all I ever dreamed it would be when I was a little girl. A handsome, loving husband by my side through thick and thin as we raise our babies…it’s something I’ll never take for granted.

If I could give any marriage advice on how we’ve made it this far, it’d be these few things.

• Keep each other first but Christ #1
• Don’t stop dating (especially after kids)
• Communication is HUGE
• Learn each other’s love languages

Let me just say…
God is good! He is faithful and he answers prayers! 🙌🏼

Y’all it’s been a long 4-5 days, BUT I finally have a praise to share with y’all about my sweet Daddy. Last week he had good and bad days, but today is the best one yet. After 13 days of being on the C0¥ID floor at the hospital with pneumonia, he was able to see my Mom. We were able to hug him and briefly talk to him in person!

They were able to lower his oxygen enough so that he could move to a specialty hospital. My Mom can start seeing him every single day starting next week. PTL! He now has the most caring doctors and nurses taking care of him and helping him on his road to recovery.

We gathered with my parents’ close friends last night and prayed together over Dad. Pleaded to the Lord that he’d work a miracle in his lungs and that he would heal him. And guess what? Today happened.

Dad has told us that he knows this is just another part of his testimony that God is building. Despite his circumstances, he’s praising the Lord in the storm and believing that he’s going to be healed. Even in his weakest moments, he’s teaching me. I want that kind of faith.

My God is a miracle worker. He’s bigger than our circumstances and if we will lean on Him, he’ll give us the strength to get through hard times. I can’t wait to see what the Lord does in my Dad’s life because I know he’s not done yet!

Those of y’all who’ve been coming alongside our family and praying, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ♥️

We’ve all been feeling the heaviness of late, but yesterday’s devastation hit home. 💔

May we never take for granted the freedom we still have because these heroes continue to stand boldly and sacrifice daily. Their level of selfishness doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you will never be enough.

We can help by praying! ⬇️

✨James 5:16 - “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

-Lord, we ask that you overwhelm these families with your presence. As they’re slowly settling into this new reality, draw near and be their refuge.

✨Psalm 34:18 - “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who’s spirits are crushed.”

-We also ask that you go ahead of the our military men and women that are still fighting. Put a hedge of protection around them. Give me them peace, along with their loved ones that they leave behind. Guide and direct their steps and bring them back home so they can place their feet on American soil again.

Not only are we completely broken over our fellow Americans, we’re watching the horror happening in Afghanistan as these families are running for their lives and believers are being put to death. The devastation from the earthquake in Haiti is also still fresh on our minds as they mourn and rebuild. Matthew 24 warns us of these wars, the natural disasters, and the persecution that we are seeing now. It’s almost unbearable to see it all unfold, but it’s a reminder to me that this is not our home. Nothing here on earth will give us peace like Jesus.

✨Jeremiah 17:17 - “Lord, you alone are my hope in the day of disaster.”

As a Christ follower, he calls me to be a light. I can’t stay silent as I watch the world unravel around us. If you don’t know Jesus, my prayer is that he will tug on your heart and open your eyes to his love, his power, and his redemption. There’s no peace, no joy, & no love greater than what we can have in HIM, friend! The same power that raised Jesus from the dead can be alive in you and transform your life. He’s the reason I have hope in a world that is fleeting. Life is a vapor, but there’s more to this life & it can be found in HIM!
