My Current Skincare Routine

Spread the love

current-skincare-routine Thank you to Rodan + Fields for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Does it ever seem like 10-15 years ago was last week? I can absolutely relate because I feel like I was twenty-two yesterday. However, my skin begs to differ. As I’ve worked my way into my thirties, I’ve had to shift my focus when it comes to how I take care of my skin. Aging is a beautiful thing, but wrinkles aren’t required to prove it.

So, today I’m sharing my morning and evening skincare routine with y’all. I’ve been using the Rodan + Fields REDEFINE Regimen for a few weeks and I’m a little obsessed. I love that it is anti-aging! The before and after photos I’ve seen are incredible. If you’d like to check them out, head to rodanandfields.com to see the before & after images or check out the brand’s Instagram. Something that I love about these skin care products is that they allow you to turn back the clock and you don’t even have to leave your house. It’s all about using quality cleansers, moisturizers, serums, etc., and then being great at repetition and consistency to see visible results.

I know it can be a little overwhelming when you’re shopping for skincare products and there are so many choices. The fact that Rodan + Fields offer complete sets help make things very simple. I’m going to give y’all a rundown of the products and how to use them in the correct order. The steps are the same for the morning and night routines. I’ll include the AM steps versus the PM steps below.

CLEANSER:

First up is the cleanser. They actually have two you can choose from, but if you’re like me, you might want them both. There’s the REDEFINE Daily Foaming Cleanser and the REDEFINE Daily Clay Cleanser. I wash my face in the morning with the foaming cleanser and then use it to take off my makeup. I really love that the clay cleanser doubles as a face mask. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a face mask.

TONER:

The REDEFINE Pore Refining Toner is next. This is a skin-softening toner that minimizes the appearance of pores and exfoliates to promote natural cell turnover. One of the ingredients included is Vitamin B3 which helps even out your skin tone. It’s also going to allow for better absorption of the moisturizers that follow.

MORNING MOISTURIZERS WITH SPF:

There are two different options for morning moisturizers. There is the REDEFINE Triple Defense Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 and the REDEFINE Triple Defense Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30. On the days I have a clean face, I love the cream because it’s a medium-weight moisturizer. When I’m wearing makeup, I always use the lotion before applying. It is a lighter weight which is perfect for those days. Sun protection is such a huge contributor to keeping your skin healthy, but also to protecting it from aging. I love that it’s included in the ingredients.

EVENING MOISTURIZERS:

There are also two different moisturizers for the evening. My go-to is typically the REDEFINE Overnight Restorative Cream because my skin is mostly dry and this is so moisturizing. A lighter option is the Redefine Overnight Reparative Lotion. One big difference between the two is that the Overnight Restorative Cream has a plant-derived alternative to Retinol called Bakuchiol and the Overnight Reparative Lotion has their proprietary Retinal-MD Technology.

EYE CREAM:

Rodan + Fields also has an eye cream that works to address the visible signs of aging. The REDEFINE Multi-Function Eye Cream is a game-changer. If you struggle with visible fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles under your eyes like me, this is a must-have! One thing I’ve noticed as I’ve gotten older is how much my foundation and powder set into those lines under my eye. This is the best thing to combat that! It has vitamins and botanical extracts to help minimize the appearance of those lines. A few other benefits include reducing the appearance of darkness and puffiness under your eyes, as well as helping tighten the skin.

I cannot say enough good things about the REDEFINE product line. I’ve been so impressed with the quality of it and how it’s starting to visibly improve my skin. Not to mention, the before and after pictures I have seen are so amazing. Don’t take my word for it though. Take the chance and test them out for yourself. Rodan + Fields is so confident in their products that they offer a money-back guarantee if you aren’t 100% happy within 60 days. I’m not a distributor, but I am definitely a new, faithful customer. You can find all the Rodan + Fields products here, in addition to the REDEFINE Regimen and REDEFINE Multi-Function Eye Cream that I talked about in this post.

✨Come along with me for a Chemical Peel with @_s ✨Come along with me for a Chemical Peel with @_sundayskin_ in Brentwood. Check out my stories for more details from @caroline.tingquist.np ✨

If you don’t know anything about chemical peels, you’re going to have some downtime after it due to the peeling. This was my first one and I was a little nervous if I’m being honest. 🙈 This particular peel was the most intense one that Sunday Skin offers. To my surprise, the process really wasn’t bad at all. It’s was pretty warm on my face immediately after but the fan helped tremendously.

My top layer of skin definitely peeled but it wasn’t crazy. I wish y’all could have felt the skin on my face after it healed! 🙌🏼 😍 It was glowing and the texture was so much better. The benefits from this treatment are endless! I’ll forever praise microneedling and chemical peels because of how they transform my skin.

Nashville friends, you have to go check them out. Be sure to watch the “Sunday Skin” story highlight I’ve got saved with all the deets.

✨Ok, ladies! I want to know what is your favorite skincare treatment you’ve ever had?✨
Before the chaos of summer and our move happened, Before the chaos of summer and our move happened, we escaped to Mexico for a little vaca just the two of us. 🏝☀️

What a great trip to start this new chapter of our lives. We had uninterrupted time for each other. I started reading again and made it through two books. We got some serious vitamin D and put our phones down. Quite frankly, it was glorious.

Do y’all find that the longer you’re away from social media the harder it is to come back? Disconnecting feels sooooo good and it gives you perspective. So, if you haven’t seen me on here much… that’s why.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the rat race of social media. Especially when you run it as a business and feel the pressure to try and jump through IG’s hoops to get in front of the people who actually follow you and want to see your content. It’s a mental game that’s not fun to play. I miss the days where you could post freely. Without hashtags or any other tactics to get your picture in friends’ feed. Without wondering if the time of day is good to hit publish. Without wondering if you’ll get the likes and comments because that’s what helps you get jobs. It’s exhausting.
** My blogger friends will feel me deeply on this.

BUT what I do love about modern technology and these apps is the connection it’s brought me. I’ve got friends all over the US and these things keep me connected. They let me feel like I’m still a part of their lives from afar. It’s also allowed me to “meet” so many of you sweet IG friends. I’ve really enjoyed that aspect of this community over my 7 years on this app.

So if you follow me and happen to scroll across this today, thank you for being here.🤍 Truly.

Say hi in the comments or shoot me a DM. Talking with y’all and building relationships has always been my favorite thing about this space!

Something I made sure to do before leaving Nashvil Something I made sure to do before leaving Nashville was to get my brows redone and get lip blushing. I’m the kind of girl that loves to simplify where I can. The best thing about permanent makeup is that it helps you do just that. I don’t have to pencil in my brows anymore and all I wear is clear gloss. 😍🙌🏼 Obsessed is an understatement!

I was so excited to meet Lex (@cosmeticallyinkedbylex) and get in her chair! We picked a color for my lips and she did a color correction and powder brow. I’m so excited to share my results with y’all. I’ve had so many people asking where I got them done and…

Hey, friends! It’s been a while since I’ve sha Hey, friends! It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything on here. The past few months have flown by insanely fast since announcing that we were moving to Louisiana.

With a major transition happening with our family, I decided to put my phone down. I’ve spent the last few months spending time with my family, designing a new home build, packing our house, soaking in everything we loved in Franklin/Nashville, and being present.

To be honest, it’s all been a bit overwhelming. I moved so much throughout my life and have lived in many houses. As I began to truly process this move, I realized the gravity of leaving our home behind. We built it in seven years ago and brought 2 of my babies home here. It’s the longest house I’ve ever lived in and it was with MY family.

When all the boxes were gone, I walked through the rooms and around the house remembering all of the memories through each stage of our life over the years. I tried to take it all in, to freeze those moments in my mind knowing it was the last time I’d be in that house.

Walking out the front door one last time was the hardest thing I’ve done in a long time. I’m so thankful God brought us back here for a short time and all that came along with it. Many sweet memories were made on this porch and within these walls. This photo will always be one of my favorites. It signifies the close to this chapter of our lives in Franklin. I’m leaving a small bit of my heart here. We sure will miss you, Tennessee. ❤️
