Maternity Style | How to Wear a Maxi Dress in the First Trimester

Spread the love

1-first-trimester-pregnancy-style

Happy Tuesday!! Can y’all believe we’re already halfway through July?! We’ve had a busy month so far. We celebrated our baby’s first birthday and his party is this weekend! I’m still in denial that a year has passed so quickly and that he’s a year old!  I just need time to slow down a little bit, especially since we’re now expecting a third baby boy! Three boys!! We’re super excited! I love being pregnant and styling a growing bump is my favorite! So I thought I’d share my pregnancy style with y’all throughout each trimester.  Maxi dresses have always been a go-to piece for me regardless if I’m pregnant or not.  This maxi, in particular, is from thredUP and perfect for the first trimester.

This third pregnancy will be the exact same months that I carried Harper.  In fact, their due dates are only 2 days apart. So as I’m adding pieces to my wardrobe right now, I’m leaning towards flowy pieces that will stretch until we get to fall!  I’ve gotten a few pieces from ThredUP and they’ve been amazing! This dress is one that’s perfect for those earlier days when your bump is growing and just starting to make its appearance!  Maxi’s are super versatile and this one’s great for day or night! All ya need to do is dress it up or down!  I’m obsessed with this necklace from Francesca’s and thought it was a great fit with the dress! And these shoes…LOVE THEM!!  Of course, you can’t ever go wrong with Target!

I’ve got more cute maternity pieces coming as I move into the second trimester and cooler weather comes around, so stay tuned! Have an awesome day and thanks for stopping by!

Love these tips! I have 2 boys, and they were due 2 months apart so I (kind of) get the whole pregnancy progress being about the same as the previous pregnancy. (if that made sense?) Congrats on baby number 3!!

Haha! Totally makes sense! This is pretty much the same pregnancy as my first son when it comes to the months I’ll be carrying this one. Thanks for reading. :)

Hey! I would wear maxi dresses almost everyday during both of my pregnancies. So comfortable to wear and pretty easy to style. You look gorgeous and that necklace is stunning!
