If you’ve seen one pregnancy chalkboard, you’ve see them all, right? Well, I beg to differ. Pregnancy chalkboards are all the rage right now, and I happen to know why. When you long to become a mother, you daydream about pregnancy and all the joys that come with it…
the growing bump, the kicks you eagerly anticipate, watching from week to week to see how your sweet little one is growing and developing inside your very being, and of course, documenting every second of it. These are things I found myself daydreaming about often. I always knew I wanted to be a mother, but I couldn’t foresee the length of time I would have to wait for that longing to become a reality.
So when I found out I was expecting our first baby, I immediately thought of all the ways I could document my pregnancy as a way to look back and remember every moment.
And so, my pregnancy chalkboard was born.
So, when we found out we were expecting baby #2, I knew I wanted to do the exact same thing. My sweet Harper Gray is our biggest joy and blessing yet, so he will definitely be a huge part in documenting his baby brother or sister. He’ll be helping me and making several appearances throughout the next few months.
We are so excited to find out if we will be adding another boy to our family, or if we’re going to have a baby girl. This weekend will be the BIG REVEAL and we are pumped!! Stay tuned for the next post with ALL the details!

These pictures are a great record of your pregnancy. I especially love the last one showing the RESULT of your last pregnancy as you anticipate the next one. Sweet!!!

Love this idea! I am not super crafty….but would like to do this too. Did you actually write on the chalk board or use some sort of stencils? Any tips would be greatly appreciated

You should do it!! I love being able to look back at it. I just freehanded it with the chalk but ended up doing it digitally with my second son. The chalk is fun but it’s very time consuming…at least for my ocd self! Lol! You could try using PicMonkey or Canva to get something similar to these! https://southernmadeblog.com/bump-update-21-22-23-24-25-25-weeks/
