I’m well overdue for a bump update and I’ve got a few weeks of pregnancy chalkboards to share with y’all! This baby boy is growing like a weed and so is this bump! It’s hard to believe that this little guy will be here with us in three months. We’ve got a lot to do before that happens, but we are counting down until we can shower him with kisses and snuggles.
How far along: 26 weeks
Maternity clothes: Oh yes! I’ve been living in my Ingrid & Isabel capri leggings and tank tops! Because let’s face it, living in comfy clothes, tennis shoes, a ponytail & no makeup is pretty appealing these days.
Sleep: I’m still sleeping pretty good. Baby boy is getting heavy, so if I roll over in the night it usually wakes me up. Not to mention a full bladder that promptly wakes me up at 3am. Oh the joys of pregnancy. I still sneak in an hour nap when Harper goes down if I think I need it.
Best moment this month: Watching Harper say hi to baby brother and shower him with kisses. We can’t wait to meet this little guy and he’s going to have the best big brother.
Worst moment this month: My lower back has really started to hurt over the past couple of weeks. Between this growing bump and a 30lb toddler, that’s bound to happen I suppose. Warm baths with epsom salt, heating pads and my chiropractor have been my best friend. Although, I think I’m about to invest in a belly support band or support tank. Mamas, can y’all recommend any that have worked for you?
Miss anything: Definitely margaritas and wine! With summer approaching, those both sound delish! I also miss my pre-pregnancy energy level! We’ve had a lot going on and I’m really having to pace myself throughout the day to make it to the end of the day. Prioritizing has been big for me lately and helped me not push myself beyond what I think my body can handle for the day.
Movement: Yes! Baby brother is an active little booger. He’s most active at night, of course. We lay in bed just watching my belly contort and shift from one side to the other. The kicks and movement are definitely a favorite of mine through each pregnancy.
Cravings: Italian & Mexican food, snowcones, fruit & sweets
Queasy or sick: Nope! I do get dizzy and lightheaded occasionally, but I’ll take that over queasy any day!
Looking forward to: Finalizing a name, picking out the nursery details and our 3D ultrasound in the coming weeks.
