Southern Made Blog - Bump Update

Happy Friday, y’all!! It’s time for pregnancy chalkboard update.  I know you’re having your best morning yet because it’s almost the weekend! Wooohooo!! Can I get an amen and hallelujah?!  It’s supposed to be raining all weekend in Houston, so I see lots of movies & popcorn in our future!  Harper has gotten to the point that he will sit still for the whole, errrr….most of a movie.  The days that all three of us are home, I try to make extra special moments happen. We are making memories after all and we won’t be a family of 3 much longer.  So, any extra snuggling I can get with my boys before July makes me a happy camper!

Speaking of July, this sweet little babe of mine is growing like a weed!  I felt him pretty early on and those little flutters quickly turned into full blown jabs and kicks.  The sweetest thing in the world is feeling this little miracle flip around in my belly.  It’s truly amazing how our bodies as women can do this incredible thing!  Just reminds me how awesome our God is!

I’m having a lot of fun with my pregnancy #2 chalkboards!  The chalk has moved on to the sidewalk and I have been creating these digitally, which I love!  It just allows me to be creative in a different way!  On to the bump update…

Twenty weeks!  I can’t believe I’m already halfway done with this pregnancy.  Although, I have stayed busy with big brother!  By the way, I have to share something about my sweet Harper Gray.  He never ceases to amaze me and make me proud, but this one topped the cake as of late.  Our bedtime routine is bath, jammies, “Jesus” aka this bible or this book of devotions, prayers, & kisses.  We finished our prayers and I told him to tell Maisy, our pup, and baby brother goodnight.  He gets down to hug her and then turns around and says “night night, baby brother” and kisses my belly!! Talk about melting a mama’s heart!  He is going to be the best big brother!  I’m so thankful that God has chosen me to be these two precious boys’ mama!  Thank you, Lord, for your abundant and undeserving blessings!

I LOVE reading about your precious family moments! I know Harper will probably enjoy reading about his growing up years (later) through your eyes! What a sweet family!

I absolutely love your boards! How do you make them digitally? Is there a specific app or program you could recommend? ! Thanks for your time!

Chelsea (8 weeks… excited to start with my weekly pics!)

Congrats, mama!! How exciting! I did actual chalkboards with my first son and it took A LOT of time. I moved to the digital route with my second and really enjoyed it. Plus, it wasn’t so time consuming. I used PicMonkey for majority of Rohen’s boards. It’s pretty user friendly, too! Best of luck to you and your little blessing. :)
