It’s Christmas time and my absolute favorite! We finally begin to slow down from the chaos that the year brings and regain focus on the things that really matter. In our home, the focus is on Jesus and his birth because it’s the reason we truly celebrate. All of the decorations and yummy food are just added perks, but I love taking advantage of them. There’s just something so peaceful about being still and soaking in the glow from the tree and being surrounded by decorations. One of my favorite parts of the decor in the house are the strung up Christmas cards from family and friends. I’m thankful we get a little piece of them in our home to finish out the year. It’s just a little reminder of how we are all so blessed.

This year is extra special for us because it is the last Christmas we will spend as a family of four. I’ll treasure these pictures forever. In just a few short weeks, we’ll be adding a new little brother to our crew. I can’t wait to see the difference between this years’ card and the next. I started sending Christmas cards the first year that Daniel and I were married. I’ve kept every one of them throughout our ten years and my goodness, how things have changed. The very things I prayed for are laid out in front of me as I flip through each one. We’ve added to our family and I’ve seen my boys’ personalities come out through the photos that have been captured. We are creating our very own Christmas album that we have enjoyed sharing with our loved ones every year.

A favorite of mine has always been the canvas prints and personalized goodies. They’re always a big hit when they’re unwrapped. As our family has grown, my time to spend on certain things has diminished. The fact that Tiny Prints allows me to take shortcuts by adding on stamps and pre-addressed envelopes is huge! It lets me spend my time where it’s most valuable, which is with my boys and my husband.

We normally travel during the holidays to visit our family. This Christmas we’re settling in at home and making the most of the last few weeks before our family grows once more. I’m going to get in the kitchen and make the recipes passed down from my mom and grandmothers, get everyone wrapped up in cozy blankets and watch Christmas movies, and watch the joy in my boys’ eyes as they wake up and experience Christmas morning. This time of year brings so much joy to my heart. My hope for you is that this season brings you blessings and hope for the new year. Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
