Hey y’all! I’ve been a little MIA the past few weeks and for good reason. We have made some BIG changes in our life lately. We moved from Texas to Tennessee one month ago. Daniel started a new business venture a while back with some friends of ours here in Nashville, which led to him traveling a lot. Harper and I did really well for a while, but we were really missing him each week he was gone. By the way, I am not made to be a single mama! Mad props to all you single moms out there! Seriously! I have a newfound respect for you and your level of motherhood! You are heroes! Anyway, I digress…
My hubby went to school here in Nashville and we lived here our first year of marriage. So, we have always loved Tennessee and hoped to eventually get back. This new company prompted new decisions that needed to be made. We began to pray over where God was leading this venture, as well as what it would mean for our family. In the end, we felt led to move and step out on faith. If you’d have asked me a year ago if I’d be willing to move my family cross country, with a toddler and a big ole belly in my third trimester of pregnancy, I’d have told you that you were nuts! Isn’t it funny how God works? This move has been the best thing for us in this moment of our life. Harper sees his daddy so much more now. Daniel can go to the office, come home in the evening and we get to have dinner as a family. It’s the little things that are the most meaningful.

Things are finally starting to slow down now that we have the house in order. We’ve really been enjoying our family time, this gorgeous Tennessee weather and just getting acclimated to this new life up here. Harper has done amazing with all the transition and we even potty trained this past week. I’ll be blogging about that, moving into a big boy bed and everything in between! So stay tuned! Plus, the countdown is on until baby brother gets here in 6 weeks or less!! Next post…baby bump update!
