For those of you who have just stumbled upon my blog, here’s a little bit more about my family’s story!
I was born in Mississippi and grew up moving throughout the southern states. It holds my heart and is where I call home. I’m proud of my southern roots, your typical southern belle, people lover and a big family girl that never meets a stranger. I love to entertain in our home and dabble in anything creative. I’ve always wanted to be a wife and a mama, and I’m currently living out that dream. Jesus is the rock in my life, marriage and home. I can’t ever remember when we didn’t speak of him. I’ve had my ups and downs, just like with any relationship, but I’m so very thankful for his love, forgiveness and grace.
My husband, Daniel, and I are high school sweethearts. Our first date we talked about how amazing it was that God orchestrated us meeting. We actually spoke of marriage that night. This one date changed my fate and I’m forever grateful for it! Never in a million years could anyone have told me that this is how my love story would play out and me believe it. In 2006, we finally got to experience the day we had been counting down to…our wedding. It was perfect and everything I hoped it would be. After six years of dating, two of which were long distance, this day could not have come any sooner.
This year will be our ninth year of marriage and fifteen years together. Like all marriages, we have had our highs and lows, but through patience, perseverance, communication and prayer, we’re still going strong!
In 2013, we received our greatest blessing yet, our sweet Harper Gray. He is the child I had prayed for and has brought so much joy to our lives. We also are expecting baby number two. God continues to bless us despite our failures, and we could not be more excited about our growing family. We are so very thankful for our family and this life that God has blessed us with. I hope you’ll stick around to see how the rest of it unfolds! I’m looking forward to seeing the adventure in store.
