Happy Christmas week! One of my favorite things to do around the holidays is make this stovetop potpourri for family and friends. I’ve been doing it for several years and I’m so excited to be sharing it with y’all. I’ll include a free printable at the end of this blog post that you can use to start making your own.
Things you’ll need:
- mason jars
- oranges
- cranberries
- cloves
- cinnamon sticks
- twine
- paper
I usually buy mason jars, oranges, and cranberries from Walmart. I order the cloves and cinnamon sticks in bulk from Amazon. I usually pick up the twine and card stock paper from Hobby Lobby or Michaels. I love the paper that’s brown and if I order it in bulk, I get this pack from Amazon. Once I’ve collected all of the items on a cutting board, I’ll create somewhat of an assembly line with everything.
The top of the mason jar will give instructions on how to use your this stovetop potpourri. You can always add more water as it simmers down to keep the scent permeating. This is such a simple, beautiful gift that you put together that everyone always loves. It makes your house smell amazin and it just adds to the Christmas spirit.
This has become a holiday tradition in our house that we love spreading around to those we love and hope it brings a smile to their faces. We hope you love them as much as we do. Merry Christmas, friends!
