Thankful for seasons. 🍁

After being away for several years , I’ll never take for granted the months of radiant colors in the tree line, the dustings of snow we get in the winter months, the bright blooms that follow, and the summer sun perfect for pool days. These are the seasons we see and expect from year to year.

Then we find ourselves living through life’s seasons that come with highs and low. Some that are amazing and then others that may be a bit harder. Seasons where all you can do is pray and seek the Lord for peace and wisdom. No matter what season you find yourself in right now, just know that just as God brings the fall leaves and snow flurries without fail, He is more faithful to bring us through those same months. Waiting for us to listen and open our hearts to what he’s teaching us along the way. 🍁 #franklintn #tennesseeliving #heisfaithful

When you’re closer to 40 (eek 🙈) than 30, you really start to grasp the importance of taking care of your skin. I’ve been focused on great skincare the past few years but now I’m making a point to schedule treatments that will also help me stay on top of the anti-aging aspect!

Any time I find a product or business I love, I want to tell y’all about it. Well, I recently had the best facial. Seriously! It was an anti-aging facial and my face felt incredible when I left. You’ll see in the third photo how hydrated and plump my skin look during the process. She also makes all of the skincare products that she uses during facials. All of which are natural, chemical free, and organic! One more thing to love.

If you’re local or willing to drive a bit, you need to schedule a visit with Sharyn (@beauty_balance_aesthetician_) here in Franklin. I feel like it’s hard to find really amazing spa services that are affordable and you won’t believe everything you get for the price with her. In the fourth photo you’ll see what’s included in the facial treatment and the cost.

I loved her so much, my hubby got me a gift certificate for Christmas so I can go back next month. I know several of y’all have already reached out for her contact info after seeing my stories. If you haven’t and you’re interested, shoot me a DM for her number and I’ll get you connected.

January is packed with birthdays for us. Monday was Harper’s turn. I cannot believe my first baby is 8.

Harp, now you really are a big boy. In fact, big enough to read this. You’re the one that made me a Mama, the best big brother, and you love music, singing and your family so much. You’re competitive, yet gentle and kind. And you’re everything I prayed for and more. You’re the leader of our boy tribe, next to Daddy, of course. We couldn’t imagine life without the vibrance and joy you bring to our life. Love you Infiniti, sweet boy! #boymom #growingupishard

Even with a year like 2020, I still had the hardes

Even with a year like 2020, I still had the hardest time picking only 9 photos to sum it up! Geez, what a year. A lot of things went wrong last year, but a lot of things went right, too.

Here’s are a few things that we got right in 2020:
•Lots and lots of family time. No office for long work days and no school meant days upon days of family time. Memories made that we’ll cherish forever.
•We traveled to see Nana & Papaw in Louisiana. We spent a lot of time at Grammy & Grand-daddy’s house in B-ham swimming and eating popsicles with cousins this summer.
•My husband and I made more time for date nights whether that was at home or once restaurants opened back up.
•I had girls’ nights which led to tons of laughter, quarantine stories and allowed this Mama to recharge with great friends.
•We spent days in jammies snuggling, watching movies and eating whatever we wanted.
•We started decorating way too early for the holidays because why the heck not.
•I made myself a priority again. I started running and working out which made me feel the best I have in a long time. I lost weight, gained muscle, had mental clarity and comfortably fit in my jeans.

The best thing that came from 2020 was that we were forced to slow down. We gained some perspective from a busy life that was halted to a complete stop and regained focus on what really matters. Our family had some challenging times for sure, but all of the amazing things outweighed the negative. #peaceout2020 #thankful #perspectiveiseverything

Another year gone in a flash. Can’t believe my baby is 4! So thankful for a healthy, growing boy that we celebrate today and every day. Happy Birthday my sweet Finn. You are loved so much!!

You know what’s empowering? Finally finding a routine that makes you excited to get out of bed and gets you healthy mentally and physically. Especially after having 3 babies. #fitmamainprogress #20lbsdown

There’s a heaviness in this season. Do y’all feel it, too? I love the lyrics in this song and so many others that have been on blast lately. The worship music reminds me to do just that. Worship! I’m trying to keep my focus where it belongs, which is on Christ!

I’m praying through the emotions that want to take hold. Don’t lose heart, friends! This is how we fight our battles.
